Dear Saints of God,
Grace and mercy be unto each of you, in the most precious name of Jesus, who is the Light of the world. My heart is filled with thanksgiving as I write you today. I thank each one for the many blessings bestowed upon me and my family, as we celebrated 26 years as Pastor and People. God has richly blessed us in our ministry, and I want you to know that it is because of a cooperative spirit by all, by working, praying, laughing, crying, singing, preaching, and in general supporting one another. Believe me, I recognize that this ministry is not a solo journey; all of you are crucial in making our ministry a success.
I thank Franchesca Little (anniversary chairperson), and the Inspirational Voices in the leadership provided for the anniversary celebration. I thank the Hostesses (Marie Elliott – president) for the serving our congregation, friends, and family at the repast.
A long time ago, my parents instilled in me the importance of gratitude. I was told that people do not have to be kind to you; but when they are, always take the time to say “Thank you.” From the bottom of my heart I say to you, “Thank you,” or as we learned in our infancy, “Ta-ta.”
We celebrate all of our mothers today. You are wonderfully blessed by God, by having such a unique part in the history of humankind. Without you, we would not be here. And the “icing on the cake” is in the fact that there are individuals who have never borne a child, but have served as mothers to us. For that, you are also honored. Please enjoy this wonderful day of praise and celebration. Believe me, you are truly appreciated.
Lastly, today we celebrate “Pin-a-Sister” Sunday, for breast cancer awareness.
I Love You! I Really, Really Do!
